Vergnet Hydro published its 7th Communication on Progress (COP) report
Vergnet Hydro became a member of Global Compact on 21st January 2011.
The Global Compact has been on the initiative of the United Nations since 2000 to encourage companies worldwide to adopt a socially responsible attitude by an engagement to integrate and promote several principles regarding Human Rights, international labor standards, environment and fight against corruption.
The signature of this agreement is based on a voluntary commitment of the company. Each year, member businesses agree to progress in the 4 areas of the Global Compact.
They shall submit an annual report named Communication on progress (COP) listing the improvement made.
Global Compact is a reference tool for Vergnet hydro which enables to evaluate the company’s progress from measurable monitoring indicators. It is also a way to define improvement axes in order to increase its social consciousness toward internal and external environment.
