For the past 40 years we have been producing manual pumps (hand and foot pumps) and cover the entire Design – Assembly – Installation – Maintenance cycle
Currently the French leader in the supply of drinking water to rural and isolated environments, we work in collaboration with local authorities, governments, international agencies and private individuals. We also advise many non governmental organisations (NGO) working on emergency, post-emergency and development programmes.
Most often located outside drinking water services and grid supplied energy areas, historically our main market is Africa. We are present on all five continents through over 30 subsidiaries and partners.
Our extensive network of decentralised customer services guarantees users the availability and long lifespan of their equipment: manual pumps and drinking water supply systems.
We supply sustainable, high quality products adapted to the needs of the population using simple and robust technology. Installation is easy and maintenance low cost, even in the most difficult contexts.

The manual pump designed by Vergnet Hydro is the most effective on the market.
Ten times lighter than conventional water pumps, it can be assembled and dismantled by a team of two in just a few minutes, without the need for any lifting equipment
Its easy maintenance is due to the wear parts being at the surface and not at the bottom of the borehole
The Vergnet Hydro water pump is guaranteed against corrosion. All parts are manufactured using rust-proof materials
The cost of the pump is very lowin the long term (pumps have an average service life of 15 years)
Customer service is decentralised to over 30 countries with clearly identified contacts
